Are you a detail-oriented wood finisher who takes pride in producing smooth, consistent, high-quality finishes? Do you enjoy transforming custom cabinetry and millwork into finished products that look great and stand up to everyday use? Procase is looking for a Casework Finisher to join our team and contribute to the quality and craftsmanship of our projects.

While finishing is the primary focus of this position, work in other areas of woodworking and shop production will also be required. The successful candidate must be willing to learn other aspects of woodworking, develop new skills, and assist with tasks outside of finishing as production needs change.

Your Responsibilities

- Surface Preparation: Prepare cabinetry, millwork, and wood components for finishing through sanding, filling, cleaning, and correcting surface imperfections.
- Finish Application: Apply stains, paints, clear coats, and other specified finishes using spray equipment, brushes, and appropriate finishing tools.
- Drawings and Specifications: Read and follow shop drawings, finishing specifications, and approved samples to achieve the required appearance and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished components for colour consistency, sheen, coverage, and surface defects. Complete touch-ups or refinishing as required to meet Procase quality standards.
- Additional Woodworking Duties: Assist with material preparation, cabinet assembly, hardware installation, and other shop production tasks outside of finishing,



with instruction and training as required.
- Problem Solving: Identify finishing defects, material concerns, and preparation issues, and work with the production team to resolve them.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with production and project staff to meet project requirements and production schedules.
- Tools, Equipment, and Safety: Safely operate, clean, and maintain finishing equipment and woodworking tools. Follow shop safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Finished Product Handling: Handle and protect completed components to prevent damage during storage, assembly, and preparation for shipping.

What You Bring
- Previous experience in cabinetry, millwork, furniture, or wood finishing is preferred.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, sanding techniques, finishing materials, and application methods.
- Familiarity with spray equipment, sanders, hand tools, and other equipment used in wood finishing.
- Ability to read and follow shop drawings, finishing specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, with an eye for colour consistency, surface quality, and overall appearance.
- Willingness to learn other woodworking skills, participate in cross-training,



and perform duties outside of finishing is required.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely handle materials and finished components while following established shop safety procedures.
