In business since 1991, we run medium to small production projects in our air-conditioned facility that is conveniently located in Cambridge.Compensation Range:$23.85 up to 25.00 hourlyPosition Summary:The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of 600mm and 800mm horizontal CNC machining centers. This role involves precision machining of components, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. The operator will work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.Primary Responsibilities:Maintaining a clean and safe work area while operating equipment according to established procedures.Read and interpret engineering drawings,



blueprints, charts, and tables, or study sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performedCompute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out workpiecesOperate and maintain a variety of machine tools, including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools, to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, drilling, and other operationsComplete change-over activities (Machine preparation from previous job set-up to new job set-up)Complete manufacturing of first part per process instructionVerify dimensions of machined parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, or other specialized measuring instruments.Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor and lead hands.Document completion of all required processes and record production in the barcoding systemTroubleshoot parts when issues occur.Communicating critical information to supervisor and oncoming shifts, including quality concerns, tooling issues, maintenance concerns,
