Job Summary

Crosstown Craft BBQ is looking for a friendly, energetic and reliable Cashier to join our opening team.

As a Cashier, you’ll be an important part of the guest experience. Our menu is à la carte, with smoked meats ordered by the pound. You’ll greet guests, take their orders, accurately enter meat selections and weights provided by our cutting team into Toast POS, process payments and help keep service running smoothly.

Fluent English communication skills are required, as the role involves taking customer orders, explaining menu items and communicating with the kitchen team.

Duties

- Greet guests and provide friendly, welcoming service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Explain our à la carte menu and answer questions about meats, sides and other menu items
- Accurately enter meat selections and weights provided by the cutting team into Toast POS
- Process cash, debit, credit and other forms of payment
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and cutting team to ensure orders are accurate
- Maintain a clean,



organized and welcoming front counter
- Help keep the front of house area clean and organized
- Suggest sides, drinks, desserts and other menu items when appropriate
- Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining accuracy
- Follow all restaurant, food safety and cash handling procedures

Requirements
- Previous restaurant, cashier or customer service experience is an asset
- Experience with Toast POS is an asset, but not required
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable handling payments and working with numbers
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
