As a Cost Controller working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in contributing significantly to the management control of our projects, supporting our work on large-scale construction projects. The Cost Controller would be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the budget for a defined scope within a large construction project. They ensure the quality and reliability of management data, actively contribute to the preparation of financial reports, and ensure compliance with the cost control processes established by Management.ResponsibilitiesBudget Management SupportContribute to the preparation of the initial budget and periodic updates (forecast at completion).Monitor daily commitments, incurred costs, progress, and remaining work.Update management databases in connection with operational tracking files.Reporting & DashboardsProduce periodic budget monitoring reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) as defined by Management.Update operational dashboards (concrete, labour, equipment tracking, etc.).Participate in analyzing variances between budget and actuals and propose adjustments in close collaboration with operational teams.Cost Recognition & Monthly ClosingsPrepare accrued expenses (cut off items) at each period end.Verify the consistency of spending rights, committed costs,
