This position is responsible for material sourcing and maintaining positive supplier relationships while ensuring consistent quality of product at economic prices to support company needs. The Jr. Buyer will summarize and report progress and/or roadblocks to management and will also be responsible for special projects such as supplier sourcing/resourcing, supply chain optimization and cost reductions.Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:Lead the supplier quoting process including both external supplier communication, internal analysis, tracking and supplier sourcingIssue new purchase orders and maintain/update purchase orders for price changes. Manage the supplier requisition system for multiple departments and plantsResolve invoice discrepancies and payment with accountingMaintain productive working relationships with suppliers and internal departmentsFacilitate timely escalation of critical supplier issuesIdentify, negotiate and implement cost savings and report monthlyDisplay a high level of internal customer serviceWorks with material planners to ensure that all raw materials are available to meet schedulesAssess supplier capabilities on quality, delivery and commercial capabilityManage special projects including supplier research and analysis,



improvement activities and cost studiesEducation and Experience:0-2 years of experience in Supply Chain or related fieldA Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Program Management or related field is preferredTraining and Skills:Fluency in English required (verbal and written). Abilities in additional languages, particularly French preferred but not requiredDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skillsUnderstanding and ability to perform basic business, cost/benefit and financial analysisAbility to communicate professionally with people within and outside of the organizationPlanning and organization skillsAbility to work as part of a teamTravel Requirements:Candidate will be required to travel to all locations where the company conducts business.
