Role Description The Civil Engineering Technologist will work on-site in the London, ON office in a full-time capacity, supporting civil engineering projects from concept through construction. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design drawings and plans for municipal infrastructure, drainage orijects site development, and transportation projects using CAD and related software. The role involves assisting with stormwater management design, grading, and servicing plans, as well as coordinating with engineers,, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables.

The technologist will support fieldwork such as site inspections, surveys, and construction review, and will contribute to quality control by verifying design data, checking drawings,



and documenting project information. The position also includes communicating with project managers, maintaining organized project files, and adhering to applicable codes, standards, and client specif ications.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to support municipal, land development, and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge drainage design, stormwater modeling, and related regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Quality Control practices in engineering projects, including checking drawings, verifying calculations, and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Familiarity with Land Surveying concepts, reading survey data, and supporting field measurements and site layouts.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline; eligibility for or membership in OACETT (or equivalent) is an asset.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and MS Office; experience with design and modeling tools used in civil projects is beneficial.

- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and contractors.
- Ability to perform fieldwork, including site visits and inspections, and a valid driver’s license is preferred.
