About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on CNC Operator / Manufacturing Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Oakville.

This is a practical, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys making real parts, running machines, solving problems, and getting things done.

You will operate CNC equipment to manufacture prototype and production components used by our engineering and R&D; teams. We work differently from a traditional machine shop: our goal is to move extremely quickly from CAD design → machining → inspection → assembly.

Many of our parts are low-volume, high-mix components where turnaround time matters.

What You'll Do

- Set up and operate CNC milling equipment
- Load material, tools, fixtures, and workholding
- Run CNC programs and monitor machining operations
- Perform tool changes and basic machine setup
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools
- Deburr, clean, and finish machined components
- Verify parts against engineering drawings and CAD models
- Identify machining or quality issues before parts move to assembly
- Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean work area
- Keep raw materials and tooling organized
- Work directly with engineers on prototype parts and design iterations
- Help improve fixtures, workholding, and machining processes
- Support rapid-turnaround manufacturing, with many parts targeted for completion within 24–48 hours

What We're Looking For You do not need to be a senior machinist. We care more about reliability, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Ideal candidates will have

- CNC machining, machine shop, manufacturing, or related hands-on experience
- Experience operating CNC mills
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings




- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow procedures and document work accurately
- Comfort working in a quick-moving environment
- Willingness to learn new machines, software, and manufacturing methods
- Ability to work independently once trained

Experience with CAM software, G-code, CNC routers, aluminum machining, plastics, prototyping, or automated machining is an asset but not required. Who Will Do Well Here

We are building increasingly automated manufacturing capabilities, so there will be opportunities to learn both traditional machining and newer software-driven manufacturing workflows.

Compensation

$40,000–$45,000 per year, depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site in Oakville, Ontario.
