Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced site-based Contracts Manager to support major capital and construction projects for our growing client. This role is focused on managing complex construction and service agreements, protecting the owner's commercial interests, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will play a key role in vendor management, contract negotiations, claims resolution, and procurement strategy.Initially a 12-month contract this prospect offers strong potential for extension. Remote project site on a rotational schedule.ResponsibilitiesManage post-award relationships with construction, engineering, and service contractorsAct as the owner's representative in contract negotiations and commercial discussionsLead negotiations related to change orders, claims, scope clarifications, and dispute resolutionSupport sourcing and procurement activities, including RFx development and tender evaluationsMonitor contractor performance, budgets, schedules, and compliance requirementsDevelop contract strategies that reduce risk and support successful project deliveryCollaborate with legal, engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to resolve commercial issuesTrack vendor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiativesEnsure vendors meet project quality, safety,



and schedule expectationsAssist with contract administration processes and internal controlsPrepare reporting and documentation for project and executive stakeholdersSupport long-term project planning and contractor engagement strategiesRequirementsUniversity degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Supply Chain, or a related discipline10+ years of experience in contract administration or contract management within capital projectsExperience working in industries such as mining, construction, utilities, oil and gas, or heavy industrial operationsStrong experience negotiating construction claims, change orders, and commercial termsKnowledge of EPC or EPCM project environments is considered an assetExperience supporting sourcing, procurement, or tendering processesStrong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and commercial risk managementExcellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skillsCustomer-focused and collaborative approach to vendor managementAbility to work effectively with cross-functional project teamsProficiency with contract management systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office is an assetWillingness to travel to project sites or work rotational schedules where requiredDrug and Alcohol testing required for safety clearance on site.Remuneration:$90-$105/hrOnly candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered
