Advance your mechanical knowledge at Tiger as an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic located in Nisku. This role focuses on keeping a robust fleet of trucks and trailers in excellent condition.Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager in Transportation, successful candidates will be 2nd or 3rd year apprentices. You will be responsible for maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues, and maintaining records in the TMT system. Flexibility is key, as you may need to respond to out-of-hours repair calls.Key Responsibilities:Conduct maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehiclesPerform predictive and preventative maintenance effectivelyDiagnose mechanical failures and conduct repairs accordinglyMaintain cleanliness in your workspace and assist with other dutiesDocument all work in the TMT system diligentlyRequirements:2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship status requiredExperience with hydraulic systems and Super B trailers is beneficialUnderstanding safety hazards and precautions in the tradeCapability to operate various repair toolsMust pass necessary pre-employment testsCommit to excellence in your mechanical work and help facilitate Tiger's fleet maintenance in Nisku.
