About the RoleOur client is seeking Journeyman CNC Machinists with experience working with steel to join their shop team.You will operate a CNC lathe or CNC mill to produce custom, precise, machined components, primarily servicing the oil/gas and heavy construction industries.ResponsibilitiesOperate the CNC lathe and/or CNC mill, ensuring accurate cutting of metal componentsRead and interpret drawings and fabrication layoutsSetup CNC machines, report any required maintenance or repairs, perform routine maintenanceOperate machines independently and make adjustments as neededWork alongside the shop team and manager to ensure all work is completed safely and within scheduled timelinesMaintain a clean, organized workspaceHelp with various shop related duties as requiredSkills and RequirementsCNC Journeyman Machinist designation is required,



recent certified Journeymen are welcome to applyStrong experience operating a CNC lathe and/or CNC mill (experience with both is a plus)Experience operating Okuma and/or Haas equipment (strong asset, not mandatory)Experience producing custom, low-volume, machined components for oil/gas or heavy construction clientsExperience machining primarily with steel and other metalsStrong organizational and coordination skillsAbility to find quick solutions and implement them proactively as problems arise day-to-dayFinal ThoughtsWe believe in diversity of thought and experience.
