Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled concrete finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various tasks related to concrete construction and at times to include: concrete forming, rebar tying and other tasks that the project may require. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

- Assist in preparation and pouring of concrete for various projects when necessary
- Utilize hand and power tools such as walk-behind and ride-on power trowels for finishing concrete
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use
- Saw-cutting of slabs for purpose of control joints by means of soff-cut an asset
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while meeting quality standards

Skills

- Knowledge related to construction equipment and tools an asset
- Proficiency in rebar installation techniques an asset, but not required
- Experience in carpentry for formwork construction an asset, but not required




- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for site preparation an asset, but not required
- Skills in concrete construction practices for building walls or structures
- Competence in concrete forming techniques for various applications
- Ability to effectively use hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers, ect.
- Understanding of construction principles and practices
- Expertise in concrete finishing methods for aesthetic appeal and durability
- Proficient in using power tools safely on job sites
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and project plans accurately
- Experience with tasks that may include caulking or sealing joints
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour

Experience

- Concrete finishing: 4 years (preferred)
