We are looking for a skilled Construction Calculator to support construction surveying and infrastructure projects through accurate calculations, data processing, quality control, and technical analysis.

You will work closely with Project Managers, the Drafting Team Lead, and field crews to prepare layout data, verify designs, calculate quantities and volumes, and process survey data.

Key Responsibilities

- Calculate material volumes and structural geometry for highways, bridges, rail, and underground utilities.
- Interpret construction surveying layout data, digital terrain models (DTMs), and control networks.
- Calculate earthwork, excavation, and grading volumes.
- Review drawings and models for discrepancies, missing information, and volume inconsistencies.
- Prepare layout files, coordinate points, and alignment data for field crews.
- Process survey data into accurate as-built drawings.
- Perform quality control, data validation, and error detection.
- Process 3D scan and point cloud data.
- Work with coordinate systems and geodetic datums.
- Support settlement, deformation, structural monitoring, and vibration analysis projects.
- Use software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, BricsCAD,



Trimble Business Center (TBC), and MicroStation .
- Work with MTO or Metrolinx drawing standards and specifications.
- Follow applicable industry standards, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and internal staff.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements
- Experience with construction surveying and infrastructure projects.
- Solid experience calculating material, earthwork, excavation, and grading volumes.
- Ability to interpret surveying layout data, DTMs, and control networks.
- Experience processing survey and field data.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and models.
- Experience with relevant CAD and surveying software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify errors and know when to escalate issues to a Project Manager or Team Lead.
