Position Overview

Construction Electricians are responsible for the installation of electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial construction environments. Employees work from drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. 2nd-Year Apprentice

- Assist Journeyman Electricians with commercial and industrial installations.
- Install conduit, cable tray, boxes, supports, wiring, lighting, and electrical devices.
- Assist with panels, disconnects, transformers, motors, and control equipment.
- Pull, terminate, identify, and test electrical conductors.
- Read basic electrical drawings and follow project specifications.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Work under the direction of Journeymen and Foremen while developing trade skills.

3rd-Year Apprentice
- Perform commercial and industrial electrical installations with increasing independence.
- Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, wiring, lighting, panels, disconnects, motors, and control equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Perform grounding, bonding, terminations, and electrical testing.
- Coordinate work with other trades and communicate project requirements to the Journeyman or Foreman.
- Assist with mentoring junior apprentices.
- Maintain safety, quality,



and productivity standards.

Red Seal Journeyman
- Independently perform commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Install conduit, cable tray, distribution equipment, lighting, motors, controls, and electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Perform conduit layout, bending, wiring, terminations, grounding, and bonding.
- Ensure installations comply with the Canadian Electrical Code and project specifications.
- Provide direction and training to apprentices.
- Coordinate work with Foremen and other trades.
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, productivity, and professionalism.

Qualifications 2nd & 3rd-Year Apprentices

- Registered Electrical Apprentice in good standing.
- Relevant commercial or industrial construction experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical construction practices and the Canadian Electrical Code.

Red Seal Journeyman

- Red Seal Construction Electrician certification.
- Commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to apprentices.

Pay: $22.95-$50.63 per hour

Experience:
