Position Summary

ARCAN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced working Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on a variety of projects throughout the Northwest Territories. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent will lead on-site activities, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality standards are met.

This position is based in Yellowknife, NT and may travel to job site locations in NT. Wage depends on experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day on-site operations and field activities
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel
- Manage and execute construction plans from start to finish according to project schedules, budgets, and specifications
- Lead implementation of ARCAN’s safety program, including daily hazard assessments and toolbox meetings
- Monitor and enforce OH&S; compliance for all site personnel and subcontractors
- Contribute to developing and refining project schedules with the Project Manager
- Identify and report design issues, schedule delays, and project challenges, and collaborate on solutions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including field reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates

Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or similar leadership role




- Proven ability to lead and manage site teams and subcontractors
- Strong background in construction safety, scheduling, and coordination
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Familiarity with construction in remote or northern environments is an asset

Pay: $63,280.22-$125,000.00 per year
