Position Overview

Dilawri Group of Companies– Saskatchewan Region is currently looking for a full-time Controller tojoin the accounting team. This position will be based in Regina and willoversee financial operations for an assigned number of automotive dealerships.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Fullcycle accounting including month-end and year-end close processes, journalentries, invoicing, bank and general ledger reconciliations

Month-endfinancial statement preparation and analysis for multiple automotivedealerships

Accountsreceivable and accounts payable management and review

Preparethird party quarterly and year end reporting

Responsiblefor the accuracy and timeliness of financial information

Supportand direct junior accounting staff with daily tasks and duties

GST,PST filing preparation





Preparemanufacturer financial statements

Liaisonwith other department managers

Understandingof internal controls and their importance

Expenseand inventory analysis

Setup and maintain information reports for senior management

Process,review and analyze payroll; focus on discrepancies and taxable deductions

Ensureall standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistentlyand accurately applied

Qualifications Required

Minimum 5 years’work experience in an accounting role

University degreein Business/Accounting

Canadianprofessional accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant) orworking towards a Canadian designation is considered an asset

UnderstandingofCanadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)

Experience in theautomotive industry and familiarity with CDK is considered an asset

Advancedknowledge of MS Office and Excel

Demonstratedknowledge and understanding of accounting policies and procedures

Experience inproviding relevant and constructive feedback and guidance to junior staff

Excellent levelof communication and relationship building skills to develop strongworking partnerships with team members and management

Strongorganizational, time management and prioritizing skills

Ability to beefficient and effective while working independently and within a team

Able to work wellunder pressure and meet deadlines
