Nortech is seeking API Inspectors to support a Turnaround project Sept 1 for approximately 6 weeks in Fort MacMurray. Candidates can either be local to Edmonton or can be from other geographic regions with camp accommodations being provided for duration of projectWORKING FOR NORTECH:Nortech is a company that is currently growing rapidly within the Western Canadian market. We focus on mentorship and training and providing an atmosphere where employees want to be part of a growing team while expanding their knowledge and experience.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipmentConduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspectionEstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection,



ensuring strict adherence to safety regulationsApply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate resultsOrganize and report test resultsPerform specialized inspectionsMay instruct and supervise othersPerform other job related tasks as assigned by managementEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalentAPITechnical background in NDT methods and proceduresDemonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspectionsKnowledge of NDT equipmentOTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Possess team leadership, management and business administration capabilities and with very good negotiation and communication skills.
