We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Tractor Trailer Operator to join our team at Astro Towing.About the RoleSafety, reliability, and community support are at the core of everything we do. As a Tractor Trailer Operator, you'll operate a company vehicle to transport a wide range of vehicles and equipment to and from customer sites, while delivering professional and reliable service. You'll assess each job and determine the safest and most efficient way to load, secure, and transport vehicles or equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations. This position primarily works Monday to Friday, with participation in a rotational on-call schedule that includes evenings, overnights, and weekends as required.What You'll Be DoingOperate a tractor trailer unit to safely transport and load/unload vehicles and equipmentAssess vehicles and equipment before service, documenting condition as requiredCommunicate with dispatch through the towing application to manage status and availabilityComplete pre-trip inspections, required paperwork, and customer documentationProvide professional, courteous service in all interactionsMaintain your truck and equipment, including routine cleaning, inspections, and basic upkeepFollow all company policies, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulationsReport any equipment issues, damage,



or operational concerns promptlyRemain prepared and available for scheduled shifts and on-call dutiesParticipate in training, safety meetings, and ongoing certification as requiredAssisting around the yard or compound when neededWhat We're Looking ForValid Saskatchewan Class 1A driver's license, and a minimum of two years' experience with a clean driving recordKnowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulationsFamiliarity with sliding axle trailers and their hauling capabilities would be considered an assetFriendly, professional attitude with strong customer service skillsMechanical aptitude and interest in vehicles and equipmentStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to stay calm and professional under pressureComfortable using smartphone or web-based applicationsProfessional appearance and strong work ethicSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyAbility to perform physical duties including lifting, bending, climbing, and kneelingIf you enjoy operating heavy equipment, solving complex challenges, and helping people when they need it most, we encourage you to apply.
