Chadwicks & Hacks has served customers in Hamilton since 1955. We sell BBQs, fireplaces, outdoor living products, parts, and more. We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our showroom counter team.

This role involves much more than greeting customers. You’ll help people in person, by phone, and online; process purchases and returns; check inventory; and follow up on orders from the time they’re placed through pickup or delivery. Some customers know exactly what they need. Others will need help finding the right person, product, or answer.

What you'll do

- Assist customers at the counter, answer incoming calls, and respond to online inquiries
- Process sales, payments, returns, and customer orders accurately
- Check product availability and help customers with order confirmations, pickups, shipping updates, and delivery questions
- Look into order discrepancies or customer concerns and follow through until they’re resolved or passed to the right teammate
- Work closely with our sales, service, and warehouse teams
- Keep clear order notes and customer records so the next person has the information they need
- Follow company procedures for payments, returns, and fraud prevention
- Help keep the counter and showroom organized

What you'll bring

- Customer service or retail experience; two or more years is preferred




- A friendly, professional approach with customers, including when they’re frustrated
- Strong attention to detail when handling payments, addresses, product numbers, and orders
- The ability to manage several requests at once and remember what needs follow-up
- Clear communication in person, by phone, and in writing
- Comfort using a computer and learning current systems
- A willingness to learn about our products and ask questions when you don’t know an answer
- The ability to lift up to 50 lb independently, and up to 100 lb with a partner

Experience with Shopify, Microsoft Office, or a retail point-of-sale system is an asset. An interest in BBQs, grilling, fireplaces, or home products is welcome, but prior product knowledge isn’t required. French language skills are an asset. You’ll spend your day helping customers at the counter, by phone, and online, answering product questions and making sure orders are handled accurately. Pay: From $17.95 per hour
