About the opportunity
Sandy Lane Automotive West is a family-owned, European-focused automotive repair facility known for thoughtful service and a high standard of client care. We are looking for a dependable, outgoing person who enjoys helping people and takes pride in making each interaction easy and welcoming.
This is a hands-on dual role. Your primary responsibility is safely transporting clients, while also supporting our front counter, service team, and day-to-day operations. You will often be one of the first and last people a client sees, so punctuality, professionalism, good judgment, and genuine hospitality matter.
What you will do
· Safely shuttle clients between Sandy Lane Automotive West and their homes, workplaces, or other agreed destinations.
· Coordinate daily rides, confirm next-day bookings, and keep clients and Service Advisors informed of timing changes.
· Greet clients, answer incoming calls when needed, and support a smooth check-in and handoff to the Service Advisor team.
· Complete customer follow-up calls, track callbacks, and assist with thank-you cards, referral certificates, and feedback tracking.
· Pick up or deliver parts and documents when required, and assist with light administrative tasks such as filing, basic invoice handling, and spreadsheet updates.
· Keep the shuttle clean, fueled, and ready; complete basic pre- and post-trip checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
· Help maintain a clean, stocked, and welcoming reception area, coffee station, office, and client restroom.
· Pitch in with other reasonable duties that help the service and shop teams operate smoothly.
What you will bring
· A friendly, positive, and safety-focused approach with robust communication skills.
· Reliability, organization, sound time management, and the ability to adjust when schedules change.
· Confidence speaking with clients and responding calmly and professionally to questions.
· Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding-area streets and routes, with the ability to drive safely in all weather conditions.
· Comfort using a smartphone, Windows, email, spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets, communication apps, and cloud-based files.
· Comfort with paperwork and a basic understanding of supplier invoices and statements.
· A team-first attitude and willingness to support management, service, administrative, and shop staff as needed.
Driving requirements
· Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s Licence.
· At least three years of driving experience with cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
· At least three years of verifiable insured driving history in Canada with no accidents or claims.
· No major driving convictions and no more than three minor convictions.
Why join Sandy Lane Automotive West
You will join a close-knit team that values Integrity, Relationships, Collaboration, Staying Relevant, Elevate, and Fun. We care about doing the job properly, treating people well, and creating a workplace where everyone contributes to the client experience.
· Consistent weekday daytime hours with no weekend shifts.
· A varied role with regular client interaction and meaningful team involvement.
· Casual dress, on-site parking, company events, and employee store discount.
