has maintained a strong and accelerating growth rate, with operations currently serving Western Canada.Responsibilities:Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety programOperate required equipment safe and efficientlyGrading, trenching, backfilling, ditchingKeep machines clean and ensure any repairs or damage is immediately reportedPerform daily pre and post inspections and follow daily maintenance practicesRequirements:Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner3+ years' heavy equipment operating experience in civil construction and municipal upgrade projectsProfessional demeanor when dealing with the public, crew, and clientAble to work outside in all-weather at all times of the yearMinimum three years' experience in civil constructionAbility to work as a team as well as independently when requiredPhysically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or moreAbility to take and follow instructionAble to do extensive physical labourValid provincial driver's licenseAssets:Recent working experience in similar role5 years+ experience in civil construction and municipal upgrade projectsFirst aid trainingLocation: Port Alberni, BCCompensation will be determined by the successful applicant's level of training and experience.
