Developers hire us to protect the look and value of their new communities, and we review every home that gets built in them.As Architectural Coordinator, you'll be the person who decides whether a builder's submission works: plotting the house on the lot, calculating grade elevations, checking the front elevation, materials and colour scheme against the community's guidelines and against what's already going up next door... then telling the builder yes, no, or here's what to change. When the answer is "change it," you'll often sketch the fix yourself.It's fast, high-volume, decision-heavy work with real consequences for how Calgary-area neighbourhoods turn out.To be clear about what it isn'tthis is not project architecture, and it's not a path to stamping drawings. Your decisions visibly move the business.What you'll doReview and approve architectural guideline submissionsPlot houses on overall plot plans, manually or CAD-assistedCalculate grade elevations for the house and lotReview exterior elevations for fit with the guidelines and the surrounding streetscapeProvide alternate elevation sketch solutions when a submission doesn't workReview exterior materials and colour schemesCommunicate decisions and rationale clearly to builders and clientsPrepare support, marketing and guideline materialConvert engineering drawings into working maps for plottingConvert engineering drawings into marketing material for developer useSupport the production of Architectural Guideline documents: sketches, AI renderings, CAD drawings, page layoutsDesign supportWork with the Production Manager on final format of Architectural Guidelines and presentation of marketing materialAdministrationKeep accurate records of work completed so billing and client records are rightMaintain complete, organized files on all approvals and AC materialPitch in with the wider team during busy periods — helpdesk tickets, file management, eventsYou'll also take part in staff and project meetings, we're small enough that everyone's input counts.What you needDegree or diploma in architecture,
