Job InformationJob Title: Senior Accommodation PlannerJob Requisition ID: 83974Ministry: JusticeLocation: EdmontonFull or Part‑Time: Full‑timeHours of Work: 36.25 hours per weekPermanent/Temporary: PermanentScope: Open CompetitionClosing Date: June 8, 2026Classification: Program Services 4 (024PSA)Salary: $3,148.20 to $4,126.82 bi‑weekly ($82,168 – $107,710 per year)Role ResponsibilitiesConsult and advise clients on existing or new accommodation requirements to facilitate a team approach to address program area requirements.Interact with program area contacts and stakeholders to discuss accommodation, construction project details, basic information technology, security and furniture requirements.Develop and assist in implementing innovative accommodation and construction solutions that support client and corporate business objectives.Initiate, assist and/or manage accommodation and capital projects covering a wide range of program areas and costs ($5,000 to over $3 million).Provide and assist in the development and completion of action requests.Travel: The position requires approximately 20–30% provincial travel.QualificationsUniversity degree in Project Management, Architectural Design, Interior Design, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible related experience in project management (space planning, facilities, interior design preferred).Equivalencies:



Diploma with minimum 6 years related experience; Certificate with minimum 7 years; no education withminimum 8 years.Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate team building and recognize potential conflicts, opportunities, and communicate appropriately.Solid organizational skills to manage multiple competing requests for attention and funding.Effective oral and written communication skills with various levels of government and private sector vendors.Well‑developed analytical, decision‑making, time‑management, front‑end project planning, project management, and group leadership skills.Understanding of sensitivities and appropriateness in accommodation and facilities approaches.Experience working and collaborating with diverse groups, including facilitation of multi‑stakeholder groups.Assets (Preferred Experience)Stakeholder engagement experience to facilitate defined project scopes and concise project plans.Understanding or experience with contract law.Technical aspects of planning and construction experience.Knowledge of government and departmental processes and standards.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and AutoCAD.Knowledge of the Government of Alberta procurement process, contracting and facilities.Travel & SecurityApproximately 20–30% travel within the province.Final candidates must undergo a security screening.BenefitsPositive workplace culture and work‑life balance.Leadership and mentorship programs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
