In this role you will be responsible for filling short‐call, long‐call and vacation shifts in compliance with collective agreements and established policies. You'll manage scheduling systems, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with leaders and team members to ensure appropriate staffing coverage. With a strong focus on communication, accuracy and service, your work supports our mission to foster vibrant, person‐directed communities.You will play an important role in strengthening how we serve our residents and teams by delivering accurate, responsive scheduling that enables exceptional care, supports operational excellence, and contributes to a positive workplace culture.What You'll DoService Delivery / Core FunctionCoordinate and adjust schedules based on coverage needs, availability, and scheduling rulesAudit schedules and timecards for accuracy and make necessary correctionsCompile reports and scheduling statistics as requestedCollaboration & Stakeholder EngagementMaintain ongoing communication with team members and leadersCommunicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organizationSupport interdisciplinary teamwork and contribute to shared goalsBuild and maintain positive working relationships that support service excellenceOperations / Process & Workflow ManagementParticipate in day‐to‐day operational activities relevant to the roleFollow established processes, policies, and regulatory requirementsIdentify and escort issues, risks, or service gaps as appropriateQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure work is completed in compliance with organizational policies and relevant legislation or standardsMaintain accuracy, documentation, and accountability in all responsibilitiesSupport audits, reporting, inspections, or evaluations as requiredContribute to continuous improvement of quality and safety practicesContinuous Improvement & InnovationIdentify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, or service deliveryParticipate in improvement initiatives, projects, or working groupsSupport adoption of recent tools, systems, or best practices (including technology where applicable)What You BringEducation & ExperienceMinimum Grade 12 EducationAt least 2 years of scheduling experience, preferably in a healthcare settingExperience interpreting and applying collective agreementsSkills & CompetenciesTyping speed of 50 wpmProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookStrong communication, organization and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environmentDemonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive informationWho You AreYou are compassionate, detail‐oriented, and motivated by a desire to serve. You have a calm and professional demeanor, especially in fast‐paced or high‐pressure situations. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to build positive relationships with team members and leaders alike.
