Job Summary: The Demo Centre Service Technician combines technical skills, guest service, and a passion for skiing and snowboarding in a quick-paced mountain environment. Working in the Rossignol Demo Centre, you’ll help guests find the right gear for their day—from boot fitting and equipment selection to tuning and repairs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work,



and is excited to learn and grow their technical skills in a qualified ski shop.

Role Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service throughout their Demo Centre experience.
- Help guests select, size, and fit appropriate ski and snowboard equipment based on ability, size, preferences, and intended use.
- Operate the Axess POS and rental management system to process rentals, equipment assignments, returns, and required documentation.
- Accurately track rental and demo equipment and ensure equipment is properly checked in, inspected, stored, and prepared for the next guest.
- Inspect returned equipment and identify damage, wear, or service and repair requirements.
- Perform ski and snowboard tuning, mounting, adjustments, repairs, and other equipment services to established standards.
- Process service transactions accurately, including billing guests for completed work.
- Continue developing skills in advanced equipment repair, tuning, mounting, and boot fitting, and recommend appropriate services to guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional Demo Centre and service area while supporting opening, closing, retail, and general shop operations.




- Work collaboratively with the Demo Centre and Alpine Rental teams, assist other Resort departments as required, and complete other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and the mountain setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Previous ski shop, rental, retail, guest service, or ski industry experience is an asset.
- Experience with ski and snowboard tuning, repair, or equipment service is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, pride in quality workmanship, and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent guest service.
- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn Axess POS and rental systems, with a commitment to developing equipment service and repair skills.
