Projects span hospitality, commercial office, retail, industrial and medical environments.We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who can take ownership of electrical engineering projects, work directly with clients and project stakeholders, and bring strong technical expertise to a growing team.The Role:As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the electrical scope of projects from initial concept and design through construction and completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, mechanical engineers and other project stakeholders, with significant exposure to tenant improvement and fit out projects. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the technical work while also taking responsibility for project delivery and client relationships.Key Responsibilities'Lead electrical engineering and design for commercial tenant fit outs and building projectsTake ownership of electrical projects from initial assessment and concept through detailed design, construction and close outPrepare and review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reportsDesign electrical distribution, lighting, power, emergency power and life safety systemsCoordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, structural and other disciplinesConduct site visits, field reviews and existing condition assessmentsReview contractor submissions, shop drawings,



RFIs and change requestsProvide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and designersWork directly with clients, architects, contractors and other consultantsAttend project meetings and provide technical input throughout constructionEnsure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable codes, standards and client requirementsManage project timelines, deliverables and technical qualitySupport business development and client relationships where appropriateWhat We're Looking For:P.Eng. designation in Ontario is required8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experienceStrong experience delivering tenant fit out and commercial interior projectsExperience across sectors such as commercial office, retail, hospitality, industrial or medical environmentsStrong knowledge of electrical building systems, codes and standardsExperience taking ownership of projects through the full design and construction lifecycleStrong understanding of electrical design software and engineering toolsExperience conducting site reviews and working with contractors during constructionStrong communication and client relationship management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with a small, experienced teamExperience reviewing and mentoring the work of junior engineers and designersBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineThis is a excellent opportunity to join a small, established engineering consultancy where you will have genuine exposure to the full project lifecycle.
