Responsibilities

- Portioning, and plating to ensure timely delivery of nutritious meals
- Serve residents with friendliness and professionalism, ensuring their dietary needs are met with care
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, utensils, and dining spaces in compliance with health regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to promote safety and prevent contamination
- Support the kitchen team in organizing supplies, stocking stations, and managing inventory efficiently
- Set up and cleaning dining areas after meals to uphold a welcoming environment




- Collaborate with nursing staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and restrictions

Requirements

- Must possess a current Food Safety Certification certificate of achievement
- Vulnerable Sector Check clearance
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or food service industries is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward residents and team members
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards consistently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal service and cleanliness routines
- Kitchen experience including serving, and cleaning tasks is advantageous
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform routine cleaning tasks
