The Skilled Labourer/ Carpenter is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed.ResponsibilitiesAdherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sitesCarpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subtradesOversight of subtrade workPerform touch ups and repairs on subtrade deficienciesPerform frame checks and mechanical checksFinish carpentry workQuality management inspections and reportingReport issues as they arise to the superintendentProficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gunMentor novice workersOther tasks as required by the site foreman / site superintendentRequirementsExperience in residential framingEnrollment in Carpentry apprenticeship program as a 3rd or 4th year or completion of Journeyman CarpentryExperience in finish carpentry is an assetEquipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)Knowledge of building code and safety code requirementsBe organized, interpersonal and strong communicator with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on siteCandidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results drivenExceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standardsHighly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environmentMust have own vehicle and valid driver's license
