About your role as a Community Inclusion Worker ( Float Position):As an integral part of the Community Living Team, you will support the quality of life for the persons served by ensuring that their physical, social, vocational, educational and medical needs are met. You will also participate in the implementation of all aspects of the participants' program, including agency policies, procedures and philosophy.What you will bring:Enthusiasm, empathy, warmth, and understanding that align with our vision, mission, and valuesDemonstrated ability to advocate, provide personalized support, and teach life skills and self-advocacy skills to participants and familiesKnowledge of theory, values, and practices in community living including support systemsAbility to work effectively with families, staff, volunteers, and organizationsAbility to work alone and unsupervised, as well as part of a teamAbility to perform lifts and transfers of clientsEffective interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated good time and general management skillsPositive role model, including modeling a healthy lifestyleRequirements of the job:A Community Support Worker Certificate, or equivalent education and experienceThree months' experience delivering similar services supporting individuals with disabilities in community settingsValid First Aid and CPR certificationYou will need to have a driver's license, a current and satisfactory criminal record search and driver's abstract,
