We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Wastewater Operator to join our team in the Kawartha Lakes region.The OpportunityThis is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a seasoned wastewater professional who can confidently operate, troubleshoot, and optimize municipal wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems while providing leadership and technical guidance to less experienced operators.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities and collection systemsMonitor plant performance and process control parameters to ensure regulatory complianceConduct process adjustments, troubleshooting, and operational optimizationPerform inspections, preventative maintenance,



and minor repairsReview operational data and laboratory resultsComplete operational records and compliance reportsRespond to alarms and emergency situationsSupport on-call operations rotationAssist with inspections and auditsProvide mentorship and technical support to junior operatorsSupport SCADA monitoring and troubleshootingQualificationsMinimum 5 years of progressive wastewater operations experienceStrong knowledge of wastewater regulations and compliance requirementsExperience with process monitoring and reportingStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to work independentlyValid Class G Driver's LicenceStrongly Preferred: Wastewater Level II, III, or IV certification; Collection System Licence; supervisory experience; SCADA experience.Highly Desirable Asset: Drinking Water Certification (OIT, Level I, or higher).
