The Company is comprised of 6 locations in Ontario (Stratford, Barrie, Etobicoke, Perth, North Bay and Hastings) and one in Amherst Nova Scotia.Job Duties:Comply with applicable legislation, including protected operation, carriage of goods, driver' hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensionsMaintain accurate and complete records associated with the dispatch of vehiclesReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehiclesPlan logistics of the trip, and obtain appropriate paperwork to transport goods, materials or passengersPerform pre-trip, in-route and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load,



ensuring safety and roadworthinessStart Time is 5amMaintain contact with dispatcher in accordance with travel planComplete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection and hours of service, following applicable providing and federal regulationsPrepare appropriate paperwork for shipping, including bills of lading, customs forms and invoicesCheck all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurateProvide feedback to management regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problemsOversee cargo handling and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirementsClean and make minor repairs to vehicles to maintain appropriate service levelsQualifications:The position will require you to drive either a 5 ton flat bed or cube van and 3 ton flat bed and one ton vanThe position is 5 days a week with some overtime requiredCandidate must have a clean driver's abstract and a valid licenseShould have the ability to lift up to 60lbsExperience operating a Moffett (fork lift) is an asset, but training will be providedAdditional Information:Full TimeLocation is driving out of Hastings ON locationFrom $27 per hourCompetitive hourly wage plus benefitsDeliveries are Belleville to Bowmanville and north from Hastings to Haliburton
