The Learning & Development Specialist will assist with the coordination and logistics of our orientation program, support our Learning Management System, create and facilitate training and related materials and support the day-to-day operations of the Learning & Development team.Join one of the region's top employers and be part of something that truly makes a difference.Work Arrangements:This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.What you'll do:Create and maintain training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials as requiredFacilitate and lead training when requiredDevelop and cascade communication around training programs and activities for the organizationDevelop and participate in all aspects of the bi-weekly EQ Orientation program including but not limited to: communication with attendees, presenters, external vendors, preparation,
revision and facilitation of presentations, oversight of social events, complete post-program analysis, etc.Maintain the Learning Management SystemMaintain the Learning & Development SharePoint documentationProvide administration and coordination support of training courses to ensure effective and timely course information, registration, and logistics, as requiredResolve challenges concerning the delivery of training programs between registrants, trainers, partners, and external service providersGenerate relevant dashboards/reports to provide accurate information regarding the administration, compliance and value of the training courses offeredFacilitate meetings and follow ups, as requiredEstablish templates for use by the Learning & Development team – i.E. project meeting/meeting minutesAssist in the planning and coordination of educational events and other special eventsMonitor and respond to Learning & Development shared email inbox and other Learning & Development related questionsAdministration duties as assigned by Learning & Development Managers and Senior leadershipProvide back up support to other HR coordinators, as requiredWhat you'll bring:University degree, preferably in Adult Education, Business, Human Resources or similarExperience in a Learning & Development roleExperience with Articulate Storyline is a strong assetCertified or familiar with facilitating DiSCLearning Management System experience,
