Drilltech Drilling is a fully committed, family-owned company. We’ve been drilling year round since 2005, all throughout Ontario. Drilltech primarily works with Engineering companies to complete environmental and geotechnical projects.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Driller's helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with operating drilling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting various project needs. This role requires physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

This role plays a crucial part in the successful completion of drilling operations across multiple projects, contributing to our company's reputation for quality and safety.

Responsibilities

- Assist with moving heavy equipment and materials using forklifts and other tools
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Support shop/yard activities, including loading and unloading supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate operations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism on-site and addressing client needs when applicable
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during setup, operation, and cleanup phases of drilling projects

Experience

- Prior shop/yard experience or familiarity with industrial equipment is preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or commercial driving is a plus




- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Moving experience beneficial for handling equipment or materials in office
- Previous roles involving customer service or working in a fast-paced environment are advantageous

DZ Driver's Licence is required with a minimum of 3 years proven driving experience with a clean driver's abstract.

Must have reliable transportation to get to shop/yard located in Newmarket each day.

Working conditions - We work all year and through all types of weather.

Please note that 10% of this position is driving and the remaining 90% is on-site manual labour.

Shifts generally are Monday to Friday with a 6:00am start time; overnight, weekend and out of town work is available.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
