In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality catered meals while ensuring safe and timely transportation. You will represent our organization with professionalism and excellence, managing both food service operations and vehicle logistics to exceed client expectations.Prepare, plate, and serve catered meals and beverages according to client specifications and dietary requirementsOperate catering equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areasManage food inventory, track supplies, and place orders to maintain adequate stock levelsOperate company vehicles safely and efficiently,



following all traffic regulations and company policiesPlan and execute delivery routes throughout Charlottetown to ensure timely arrival at events and locationsMaintain comprehensive vehicle maintenance records and report any mechanical issues promptlyEnsure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all timesSet up and break down catering stations, including tables, serving equipment, and decorative elementsCoordinate with clients and event organizers to confirm delivery times, menu details, and special requestsHandle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate financial recordsPerform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the catering vehicleManage multiple deliveries and events simultaneously while maintaining organizational efficiencyQualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent) with a clean driving recordCurrent food handling certification and knowledge of food safety regulationsProven experience in food service or catering operationsDemonstrated experience operating commercial or passenger vehiclesStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsPhysical stamina to lift, carry, and stand for extended periodsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsReliable transportation and punctualityAttention to detail in food preparation and presentationPreferred: Previous catering experience with event managementPreferred: Familiarity with Charlottetown routes and local geographyPreferred: Basic vehicle maintenance knowledgeAdditional InformationDexterra is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
