Assist in the closing process and ensure reporting is timely and accurate. Responsible for preparation of account reconciliations and supports the analysis of expenses as the business requires. Prepares payroll journal entries and selected payroll reconciliations.ResponsibilitiesSupports many aspects of the closing period process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, revenue reconciliations, variance analysis, and accuracy of the general ledgerSupports compliance with internal and external controls, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, GAAP accounting principles, and Corning policies and proceduresPrepares monthly account reconciliations including bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies, reconciles intercompany invoices and payables to ensure accurate consolidationsSupport Controller with monitoring spending and guides department managers to control costs. Research and provide details on expense variancesSupports monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities in support of tax and regulatory filings to provincial and federal authoritiesLanguage RequirementsThis position requires bilingualism (French and English).
