Job Summary

Benjamin Childcare is a Christian daycare located in Vancouver, BC. We are seeking a dedicated, energetic and affectionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team three days per week.

The ideal candidate genuinely loves working with young children and can create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys crafts, storytelling, music, creative play and hands on learning activities. The educator must also be comfortable assisting with light meal and snack preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and implement age appropriate educational activities and play based learning experiences
- Prepare and lead crafts, sensory activities, stories, music, games and creative projects
- Create a positive, affectionate and engaging learning environment
- Supervise children closely during indoor and outdoor activities
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical and developmental needs
- Assist with meals, snacks and light food preparation
- Support daily routines, including toileting, diaper changes, dressing, rest time and cleanup
- Observe children’s development and document relevant progress
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, colleagues and management
- Maintain accurate childcare and classroom records
- Keep the classroom clean, safe and organized
- Collaborate with other educators and staff members
- Follow all licensing, health, safety and emergency procedures

Required Qualifications
- Valid Early Childhood Educator ECE Licence to Practice in British Columbia
- Valid child care First Aid and CPR certificate
- Valid FOODSAFE certificate
- Clear criminal record check for working with children
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool or educational environment
- Strong English communication skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada




- Reliable and available to work three full weekdays per week

Position Details
- Part time permanent position
- Three weekdays per week
- Approximately 24 paid hours per week
- Regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thirty minute unpaid meal break
