This includes 2E, 2W, 4E, 2N, 4E, 4W, or Surgical Units (subject to change if floor locations change) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to Manager of the LHAP Medicine Float Pool, the successful candidate will be responsible for personal patient care, vital signs,



physical assessment, administration of medications, monitoring IV's, monitoring telemetry, setting up medical equipment as appropriate and other duties as assigned. The RPN will participate as a member of the Float Pool, Multidisciplinary Team and the Nursing Team at the Ajax site on Medicine/Health Aging program units. As an individual practitioner, the nurse will maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining the health record according to hospital policy, procedure and standards. QUALIFICATIONS Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing); Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college; Current B.C.L.S. certificate; Recent medical-surgical experience and evidence of recent related continuing education; Coronary Care I course (or equivalent) required OR must enroll in the next available Lakeridge Health Telemetry course and successfully complete upon hire; Demonstrated self-motivation regarding continuing education in areas of patient assessment, patient education, leadership and related Clinical Specialties; Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in patient care assignments, patient care units and hospital sites within the Corporation; Ability to lift, turn,
