The role

We need a journeyman, or a strong 3rd or 4th year, who can take a job, figure it out, and finish it to a standard that does not come back. You will get direction. You will not be walked through every step.

The work is mixed. Commercial, multi-family and subdivision, service, design-build, residential, agricultural, solar, generators, maintenance, and fire alarm — including retrofit and service. If you want the same panel every day, this is not the job. If you can switch gears and still do clean work, you will be a vital part of a small crew.

Whether you are coming from a larger contractor or from a smaller shop you already know, you are stepping into a company where your work is visible and you are expected to carry your share.

We have a multi-family project and a large fire alarm retrofit and power-upgrade project that run through April 2027, with more work in the pipeline after that. Permanent is what we want. If you are not ready to commit, a term through that work is on the table so both sides can see the fit.

Who we are

Riteline Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor based in Pincher Creek, in business since 2001. You work with the owners, a scheduler, and a purchaser. The crew is small enough that people know your name and the work is mixed enough that you will not do the same job every week.

The work includes commercial, multi-family and subdivision development, service, design-build, residential, agricultural, solar, generators, maintenance, and fire alarm (new, retrofit, and service). The jobs that need planning and coordination are the ones we take on. You will switch between types of work. That is the job, not a surprise.





This corner of Alberta has work in front of it. Pincher Creek is about half an hour from Fort Macleod, Crowsnest Pass, Waterton, and Castle Mountain, about an hour from Lethbridge, and less than two hours from Calgary. Most days you are home at night.

What you will do

- Install and modify distribution, control equipment, conductors, and related systems
- Read drawings, specs, and instructions and carry the work through
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair — and explain what you found without a long story
- Work to code and safe work practices
- Work on your own or as part of a crew of one to six
- Support the lead on larger jobs; run smaller jobs yourself when that is what the day requires
- Keep the site clean, organized, and safe

Who this is for

- Certified journeyman electrician (Alberta or equivalent), or a 3rd / 4th year who already works with limited supervision
- Able to take direction once and finish the work
- Comfortable moving between more than one type of electrical work
- Solid knowledge in commercial, multi-family, fire alarm, ag, solar, or generators is a plus. If you want to grow a specialty, tell us — we want to know. Day to day, you still need to be flexible with what you are dispatched to




- Strong technical habits and a serious approach to safety
- Valid Class 5 licence and a clean driver’s abstract
- Willing to work at heights and in weather
- If you are a 3rd or 4th year: you should already be the apprentice other shops will put on a truck, not someone still learning how to start the day

What we offer

- $30–$40 per hour, based on ticket, experience, and independence

- If you work independently enough, a company truck. That truck parks at the shop nights and weekends
- We provide training: fall arrest, aerial platform, first aid, and specialized electrical training relevant to the work
- Steady work, home most nights, and a crew small enough that your work is noticed
- Room to take on more responsibility if you want it. It is not required
- Relocation assistance may be considered for the right person
- Permanent is the goal. A term through April 2027 on the multi-family and fire alarm / power-upgrade work will be considered if you want to start without a long commitment

Working conditions

- Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Indoor and outdoor work, including heights and all weather
- Physical work: lifting up to 60 lbs, ladders, standing for long periods
- Travel to project sites around the region as required
