The role

This is a working-foreman seat in a family shop that is growing, not a corporate crew lead on a 40-person site. You will still be on the tools. You will also run a small crew of one to six techs when the job needs it. Some days you work alone. Most of the time, if you are on a project, you plan the day, keep the work moving, talk to the GC site superintendent or the customer, and close out the job or phase in good shape.

Whether you are coming from a larger contractor or from a smaller shop you already know, you are stepping into a company where your name is on the work. That is the risk and the point. If you can switch between commercial, multi-family, service, fire alarm, ag, solar, and the rest without needing a week to get your head around it, you will matter here. You will feel like a vital part of the operation — not a cog in someone else’s schedule.

We have a multi-family project and a large fire alarm retrofit and power-upgrade project that run through April 2027, with more work in the pipeline after that. Permanent is what we want. If you are not ready to commit, a term through that work is on the table so both sides can see the fit.

Who we are

Riteline Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor based in Pincher Creek, in business since 2001. You work with the owners, a scheduler, and a purchaser. The crew is small enough that people know your name and the work is mixed enough that you will not do the same job every week.

The work includes commercial, multi-family and subdivision development, service, design-build, residential, agricultural, solar, generators, maintenance, and fire alarm (new, retrofit, and service). The jobs that need planning and coordination are the ones we take on. You will switch between types of work. That is the job, not a surprise.





This corner of Alberta has work in front of it. Pincher Creek is about half an hour from Fort Macleod, Crowsnest Pass, Waterton, and Castle Mountain, about an hour from Lethbridge, and less than two hours from Calgary. Most days you are home at night.

What you will do

- Run assigned projects from start through close-out, on the tools and as lead
- Lead a small crew of 1 to 6 techs when the job calls for it; work alone when it does not
- On project work: plan the day, keep the work moving, deal with the GC site superintendent or the customer, and close out the job or phase
- Read drawings and specs and keep labour and material lined up with the scheduler and purchaser
- Install, troubleshoot, test, and maintain electrical systems to code across the scopes above
- Keep the site organized, secure, and finished to a standard we will stand behind
- Report to the owners on estimating, project management, and small quotes; work with our scheduler on planning and our purchaser on parts
- If you want it, help with estimating and project management on the jobs you run. That is optional. You can be an electrician who leads a crew and leaves the office work to us.

Who this is for

- Alberta journeyman electrician (or equivalent). Lead-hand or working-foreman experience is strongly preferred
- Able to run a small crew without being hovered over, and still put in a day’s work yourself
- Agile enough to move between commercial, multi-family / subdivision, service,



fire alarm (including retrofit and service), ag, solar, generators, and residential
- Strong knowledge in any of those disciplines is a plus. If you want to grow a specialty, tell us. Day to day, you still need to take the work you are dispatched to
- Solid on code, safety, and workmanship
- Valid Class 5 license and a clean driver’s abstract

What we offer

- $38–$44 per hour, based on experience and how you run work
- Overtime available

- Company truck. Commute to and from work in that truck is allowed if you live close enough to the shop
- Performance bonus is on the table for people who take real ownership of the projects they run
- We provide training: fall arrest, aerial platform, first aid, and specialized electrical training that is relevant to the work. That is how we keep the standard our clients expect
- Steady work and a path into more responsibility if you want it - including estimating and project support. It is not required
- Relocation assistance may be considered for the right person
- Permanent is the goal. A term through April 2027 on the multi-family and fire alarm / power-upgrade work will be considered if you want to start without a long commitment

Working conditions

- Typical hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Indoor and outdoor work, including heights and all weather
- Physical work: lifting up to 60 lbs, ladders, standing for long periods
- Travel to project sites around the region as required
