EMDR Therapist (Registered Psychotherapist)
Hybrid | Vaughan + Virtual Across Ontario | Part-Time / Independent Contractor
Do meaningful trauma work. We’ll take care of the rest.
Soul Prism Therapy is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, thoughtful EMDR therapist to join our clinical team.
We’re hoping to welcome someone who brings warmth, curiosity, and genuine care to their work with clients who have experienced trauma. You may be someone who enjoys taking the time to understand each client’s story, helping them feel safe and supported, and thoughtfully integrating EMDR into a trusting therapeutic relationship. We value therapists who see the person behind the symptoms and approach trauma work with patience, compassion, and respect for each client’s pace.
At Soul Prism Therapy, you can focus on being a therapist. We support the administrative and operational pieces of practice, provide referrals, and create opportunities for consultation and connection so that you are not practising in isolation.
This may be a particularly good fit if you value robust clinical work, independence, collaboration, ongoing learning, and being part of a growing practice where your expertise is genuinely valued.
Why Join Soul Prism Therapy?
We want our therapists to have the autonomy of private practice without having to build and manage everything alone.
You’ll have access to
- Competitive compensation
- Referrals to support the development of your caseload
- Dedicated administrative and client-care support
- Regular clinical consultation/supervision opportunities
- Team meetings and opportunities for peer connection
- Flexible scheduling
- Virtual practice across Ontario
- In-person opportunities in Vaughan/Concord
- A modern, light-filled therapy space with free parking, convenient access to major intersections, and close proximity to Vaughan Mills
- An established practice handling marketing, systems, operations, and practice infrastructure
Most importantly, we are intentionally building a team where therapists can ask questions, think clinically together, share knowledge, and continue growing.
About Soul Prism Therapy
Soul Prism Therapy is a growing psychotherapy practice serving clients across Ontario virtually and in person in Vaughan.
Our vision is to create a warm, trusted, and accessible psychotherapy practice where people feel genuinely understood and supported in creating meaningful, lasting change.
As we grow, we want to expand our reach without losing what matters most: thoughtful, personalized therapy and genuine relationships with both our clients and our therapists.
Our Core Values
Authenticity We value honest, genuine communication and creating space for people to show up as themselves.
Care We approach our clients and one another with compassion,
thoughtfulness, and respect.
Collaboration We believe therapists do their best work when they have space to connect, share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.
Reliability We value professionalism, accountability, communication, and following through on our commitments.
Growth & Curiosity We are committed to continued learning, reflection, and development as therapists, as a team, and as a practice.
The Role
You will provide psychotherapy to clients presenting with concerns that may include trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, attachment and relationship difficulties, grief, self-esteem, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, and related concerns.
Your clinical work may include:
- Providing individual psychotherapy using EMDR and other appropriate therapeutic approaches
- Completing thoughtful assessment and case conceptualization
- Assessing client readiness for trauma processing
- Supporting stabilization, resourcing, emotional regulation, and preparation prior to trauma processing when clinically appropriate
- Developing individualized treatment plans
- Monitoring treatment progress and adapting treatment as needed
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Practising within CRPO standards, ethical requirements, and your individual scope of competence
- Participating in consultation, team meetings, and collaborative learning
- Continuing to develop your clinical skills and areas of specialization
We value therapists who integrate EMDR rather than applying it mechanically. The therapeutic relationship, client readiness, pacing, consent, cultural context, and clinical judgment matter deeply to us.
