Our Finance group is currently looking to add a Corporate Accountant to our team, based in Calgary or Blackfalds, AB. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will work with multiple internal teams within the corporate accounting group. The position requires intermediate analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles and is responsible for performing accounting activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal finance policies, accounting standards, and regulations.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly Bank reconciliation and follow up on outstanding bank transactionsAssist corporate controller with preparation of full cycle accounting and monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting, including the preparation of month-end reporting packagesPrepare account reconciliation for various accountsUpload Weekly/monthly man hours into designated systemAssist in the review and preparation of working papers for auditsEnsure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and proceduresMaintain fixed asset records and perform capital accounting, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciationPerform ad-hoc and various other duties as required by managementRequirementsPost-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industryDesignated as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or working towards designationProficient with all Microsoft office productsExperience with JD Edwards, Eclipse,
