As a key member of the project team, you will play a critical role in strengthening our safety culture and supporting the successful execution of complex industrial construction projects.This is a project-based, fixed-term positionAbout the RoleThe Onsite Safety Lead is a vital member of the project leadership team and is responsible for promoting, implementing, and continuously improving health and safety performance across the project site. This individual provides hands-on safety leadership, supports frontline workers and supervisors, and ensures compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.The successful candidate will be a visible presence in the field, proactively identifying hazards, coaching workers, and fostering a culture where safety is integrated into every aspect of the work.Your leadership will directly contribute to protecting our people, preventing incidents, and ensuring project success.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Lead and promote safety excellence across all site activitiesMaintain safety records, documentation, reports, and incident statisticsConduct site inspections, audits,



hazard assessments, and field observationsFacilitate worker orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessionsProvide coaching and mentorship to employees, supervisors, and subcontractors on safe work practicesMonitor compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standardsParticipate in planning activities to identify and mitigate risks before work beginsLead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action follow-upTrack and communicate safety performance metrics to project leadershipSupport the implementation of Brymark's Health & Safety Management SystemCollaborate with project teams to develop practical solutions to safety challengesActively participate in hazard identification and continuous improvement initiativesStop work when unsafe conditions or behaviours pose a risk to personnel, equipment, or the environmentQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 8 years of health and safety experience in industrial construction, mechanical installations, fabrication, energy, or heavy industrial environmentsStrong understanding of British Columbia occupational health and safety legislation and industry best practicesDemonstrated experience conducting investigations, inspections, and risk assessmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage workers at all levelsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and digital safety management systemsPost-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field preferredValid driver's license and reliable transportationSkills & Attributes That Set You ApartProfessional safety designation such as CRSP, CSO, NCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH,
