Responsibilities

- Collaborate with fellow board members and executive leaders to develop and refine organizational strategies aligned with our mission and goals
- Provide expert guidance on business development initiatives to expand our reach and impact
- Lead and make suggestions on strategic partnerships, funding opportunities, and stakeholder engagements to maximize organizational success
- Oversee governance practices, ensuring compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines for vital indigenous services
- Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across departments
- Support leadership in project management efforts for major initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met
- Advocate for innovative solutions and continuous improvement to adapt to evolving industry trends and challenges

Qualifications

- Proven leadership experience within a complex organization or industry, demonstrating strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful deal-making and stakeholder engagement
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead business development efforts that result in tangible growth opportunities
- Excellent project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale initiatives
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences and foster collaborative relationships
- Prior experience serving on a board or in governance roles is advantageous but not mandatory
