The Opportunity

Forest Dale Home is seeking an experienced and collaborative Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and oversee the business and program-related operations of the Home.

Reporting directly to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of Forest Dale Home. This position provides leadership and direction across resident care, finance, property and facilities, legal matters, government funding, information technology, human resources, employee relations, administration, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities The Executive Director will:

- Provide leadership to ensure that the mission, vision, and values of Forest Dale Home are carried out with professionalism, compassion, and understanding.
- Ensure residents receive the standard of care and services they expect while promoting dignity, safety, respect, and quality of life.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with residents and their families regarding care and well-being.
- Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve the quality of resident care and services.




- Remain receptive to new ideas, approaches, and best practices within the long-term care sector.
- Ensure programs and services are delivered with kindness, warmth, dignity, and respect.
- Provide leadership and support to employees working in a demanding and often stressful setting.
- Support staff through coaching, training, development, and regular performance feedback.
- Provide overall responsibility for the management and operations of the organization, including:
- Finance and budget management
- Facilities and physical plant
- Operations
- Human resources and employee relations
- Administration
- Licensing and regulatory compliance
- Government relations and funding
- Information technology
- Legal and risk-management matters
- Board relations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Board of Directors, employees, residents, families, government representatives, unions, health authorities, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for the residents, employees, and Forest Dale Home within the community and with government and other stakeholders.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have senior-level management experience and a strong understanding of the health care sector, preferably within long-term care or a related environment. You are a collaborative leader with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and consensus among diverse stakeholders, including government, employees, unions, residents, families, health authorities, and the broader community.

You will bring well-rounded business expertise in areas such as finance, administration, human resources, operations, physical plant, health and safety, and government relations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Preferred Qualifications

- Minimum of five years of senior-level management experience, coupled with a solid understanding of the health care sector or a related field.
- Baccalaureate degree in a field relevant to the operation of a nursing home, supplemented by recognized courses in administration and/or health care.
- Demonstrated collaborative leadership experience.
- Strong financial management skills, including experience managing departmental budgets and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of five years of relevant health care management experience.

Employment Details

- Position: Executive Director
- Employment Status: Full-time
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, on-site. Additional hours may be required to meet operational facility needs.
- Salary: $125,000–$130,000 per year, negotiable based on qualifications and experience
- Work Location: In person in Riverside-Albert, New Brunswick
- Relocation Requirement: Candidates must be able to commute to or relocate to Riverside-Albert, New Brunswick
