Job Overview

TM3 Plumbing is looking for an experienced construction and renovation worker to join our team. Our work includes bathroom renovations, general residential construction, plumbing installations, and plumbing service and repairs.

Bathroom renovations make up a large part of our projects, but this position also involves working alongside our plumbing crew on installations and service jobs. You’ll contribute your existing construction skills while learning more about plumbing directly from an experienced team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, is confident with tools, and can complete assigned renovation tasks without constant step-by-step supervision. Construction and renovation experience is required. Previous plumbing knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.

This position offers the potential to transition into full-time employment, along with an chance to pursue a plumbing apprenticeship for the right candidate.

You’ll work directly with our crew, including a master plumber with more than 45 years of trade experience. We value practical skills, reliability, honest communication, and respect for our customers’ homes.

Responsibilities

Duties will depend on the project and your experience. Plumbing tasks will be assigned according to your qualifications, training, and permitted scope, under the direction of our qualified plumbing team.

- Complete bathroom demolition, site preparation, and debris removal.
- Perform framing, blocking, wall repairs, and subfloor repairs or replacement.
- Install insulation and drywall, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening.




- Complete drywall taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and preparation for painting.
- Prepare subfloors and install flooring, including vinyl plank and other materials used on our projects.
- Prepare surfaces for tile work and assist with or complete tile installation according to your skills and assigned scope.
- Complete painting, caulking, trim, baseboard, and other finishing work.
- Assemble and install vanities, cabinets, and bathroom accessories.
- Assist our plumbing crew with installing and replacing sinks, faucets, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Assist with water-line and drain installations, plumbing repairs, and service calls as appropriate to your role.
- Prepare tools and materials for plumbing work and help with access, setup, and cleanup.
- Measure, cut, level, and fit construction materials accurately.
- Identify damaged materials, leaks, or unexpected site conditions and communicate them promptly.
- Check completed work for accuracy, fit, and finish.
- Use hand and power tools safely and take care of company equipment.
- Protect customers’ floors, furniture, and belongings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
- Coordinate with our crew and other trades to keep projects moving.

Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in residential renovations or general construction; bathroom renovation experience is especially valuable.
- Practical experience across several areas such as framing, drywall installation and mudding, flooring, painting, trim, and cabinet installation.
- Confidence using common hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to measure accurately and follow layouts, project instructions, and agreed work scopes.
- Ability to complete assigned construction tasks independently and work effectively with a team.
- Willingness to learn plumbing and assist with plumbing installations and service work.




- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.
- Professional and respectful behaviour inside customers’ homes.
- Willingness to handle material moving, preparation, and cleanup as part of the job.
- Safe work habits and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Reliable transportation to our shop and availability for the schedule described above.

Previous plumbing experience, tile installation skills, and the ability to read construction drawings are additional assets. You do not need to be an expert in every task listed. We expect you to be honest about your abilities, ask when you need guidance, and communicate problems promptly. Previous construction or renovation experience is required.
