Reporting to the Logistics Manager at our Niagara Falls location, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing trends, and developing plans to optimize stock and minimize waste. Additionally, they will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial analysis to support decision making for the company. Our hours of operation are 8:15am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities:Inventory ManagementUtilize historical data, market trends, and sales projections to forecast inventory levels accuratelyMonitor inventory turnover rates and adjust forecasts accordingly to optimize inventory levelsProcess vendor invoices in a timely manner and ensure payments are made according to terms and agreementsCompile data from multiple sources and utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze inventory data, generate reports, and identify trends or anomaliesEnsure accurate and up-to-date data entry in the ERP system to facilitate efficient inventory tracking and reportingCollaborate with the Warehouse team to coordinate flow of goodsDevelop and maintain positive relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth communication and transactionsResolve discrepancies between physical and inventory and records and investigate and resolve issues with damaged or missing inventoryRecommend changes to current inventory policies and proceduresFinancial & Sales AnalysisConduct analysis of product viability to identify trends, recommend solutions, and support decision-makingDevelop and present financial plans, forecasts, and reports to senior management using Excel spreadsheetsAnalyze gross margins by division, category, and item and compare to what has been forecastedConduct research and monitor real time trends on economic indicators such as fluctuation on foreign exchange rates and market trendsIdentify opportunities to reduce costs by recommending process improvementsOtherPrepare and present insightful reports on inventory performance, margin analysis, and other key metrics to support decision-makingUndertake related duties as assigned to achieve the company objectives and goalsQualifications:College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldThree (3) years of inventory management and forecasting experienceTwo (2) years of financial analysis experienceExperience extracting data from an ERP systemExperience working with freight forwarders considered an assetProficiency using Microsoft OfficeAdvanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements, Macros)Experience managing a large volume of data in ExcelAnalytical and highly motivated self-starterDetail oriented problem solverStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environmentYou Will Stand Out If:You have experience using NetSuiteYou have experience using Power BIWhat We OfferOur expected compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
