Position Title: DZ DriverLocation: Ottawa, ONSalary: $25/hourSchedule: Start times vary between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM, depending on delivery routeJob SummaryWe are seeking a DZ Driver to join a high-performing delivery team. This role involves safely operating a DZ-permitted truck to deliver specialized products to various locations, performing hands‐on installations when required, and providing top‐notch customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate DZ-permitted trucks (automatic) including 5-ton vehicles with tailgates, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.Load, unload, and secure products at the distribution center and customer sites.Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts and report any maintenance concerns.Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and obtain customer confirmations.Represent the company in a professional manner, interacting with clients and addressing concerns politely and effectively.Follow all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.Occasionally handle returns or assist with the installation of equipment and machinery, including bank machines, lottery machines, photocopiers,



and certain medical devices.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum 2 years of DZ driving experience.Valid DZ driver's license and a clean driving record.Comfortable lifting and handling heavy items (up to 75 lbs, often assisted by equipment or teammates).Experience with tools, power tools, or mechanical installations is a plus, but training is provided.Strong English communication skills; ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Certifications (Preferred)Forklift operation (Reach, CB Electric/Pro, Order Picker, Transpalette)WHMIS / TDG awarenessBenefitsComprehensive training provided, including customer service and equipment handling.Exposure to specialized delivery services and high-value installations.Physical DemandsHeavy lifting and manual handling of equipment and products; some deliveries requireteamwork for moving items.Work involves frequent mobility and may include stairs or multi-level deliveries.
