THE HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM LEAD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:Contributing to the development and implementation of Human resources departmental plans, goals, and objectives.Sourcing, recommending, and coordinating training sessions for groups as required. Providing training and information sessions to frontline leaders on various HR related matters and researching funding opportunities for a variety of training programsProviding trend analysis reports and recommendations to the Human Resources Manager on a variety of Human Resource related topic.Actively participating and supporting the Human Resources Manager in renegotiations of Collective Agreements and building a positive labour relations environment between leadership teams and union partners.Providing leadership and counsel to frontline leaders regarding the interpretation of Collective Agreements and legislative requirements when needed.Approving payroll and make any necessary corrections as it relates to payroll based on collective agreements and Company policies and procedures requirements.Assumes a leading role in the implementation and oversight of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), in its entirety.QUALIFICATIONSA degree in Business Administration or a related field of study or 3-5 years equivalent Human Resources Generalist experience and trainingChartered Professionals in Human Resources designation (CPHR) or working towards designation would be an asset. Must be committed to attaining CPHR designationExperience with payroll and benefit programsCertification with the National Institute would be considered an asset. (PCP or CPM Designation)Display Leadership skills, self-direction, and proactive qualitiesPossess a high level of integrity and work ethicEffective communication skills; including strong facilitation practices and transparent verbal & written communicationHigh flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse environmentAbility to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
