Reporting directly to the Vessel Supervisor, the purpose of the Lead Hand, Vessels includes, but is not limited to, monitoring job progress and employees within work area as well as ensuring packages are assembled to Enerflex standards and ensure adherence to all Enerflex's Health and Safety policies.The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, commitment and creativity to achieve success within our organization.Shifts:Monday-Thursday5:00pm – 3:00amResponsibilities and DutiesProvide oversight and task direction to different trade disciplinesWork closely with Quality Control department to schedule 3rd party inspections and x-raysProvide leadership and direction with continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing processesHold daily toolbox meetings and issue the Pre-Job Hazard Assessment (PJHA) to the SupervisorEnsure all employees are working safely and producing quality product while adhering to health and safety policiesSupport and drive a culture of continuous improvementReport incidents/accidents with complete paperwork within the required timelinesCommunicate effectively with fellow Lead hands and Supervisors within the shopDevelop new ways and methods to aid in the manufacturing processEnsure employees are swiped into proper jobs to ensure accurate time keepingWork within a tight schedule to allow for minimal overtime and meet shipping deadlinesPerform ongoing inspection of all finished units to ensure quality is to Enerflex expectationsEnsure employees are informed of all meetings and attend accordinglyQualificationsPossess a valid Alberta Journeymen Certificate with Interprovincial Red Sealed Journeyman and Alberta B Pressure CertificateMinimum 5 years' experience in the manufacturing of gas compressors and/ or processing VesselsProven experience working with heavy vessels is considered an assetPrevious experience in a leadership capacity considered an assetPossess sound planning and organization skillsGood communication, interpersonal, and proven leadership qualitiesAbility to direct, coach and assign work to team of employeesDependable, reliable, with proven attendance recordAbility to work overtime as requiredResults oriented and a team playerKnowledge of various welding procedures and vessel fitting experience an assetEager to support Vessel Supervisor and Vessel TeamAbout Us:Transforming Energy for a Sustainable Future.
