This is a hybrid role based in Victoria, BC. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and supporting project-based accounting initiatives.Location: Victoria, BC (hybrid)Reports to: ControllerJob Type: Full-timeSalary Range: $85,000 to $105,000 CADKey responsibilities:Execute and support daily accounting operations, including journal entries, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, eliminations, project accounting, and reconciliations, across our Canadian and US entitiesSupport month-end and year-end closing processes,



ensuring timely and accurate reportingAssist in preparing internal and external financial statements in compliance with IFRS, under the Controller's direction on complex technical areasSupport project accounting systems and processes, ensuring they align with organizational goalsCollaborate with the Controller to enhance financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systemsInteract with external auditors and tax consultants during annual audits and periodic compliance reviewsEnsure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data to senior managementSupport the use of NetSuite to improve financial operations and data integrityOversee third party payroll vendors as neededRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including consolidations, intercompany transactions, and month-end or year-end close in a multi-entity environmentComfortable working directly with external auditorsCPA designation, or actively enrolled in the CPA Qualified Education Program (PEP), preferredExperience with IFRS or US GAAP financial statementsProficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting softwareProficiency in ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdditional Requirements:This position requires a satisfactory background check as a condition of employment.
