Key ResponsibilitiesAcquire knowledge of process specifications and materialsImplementation and continual improvement of product inspection plansPerform in-process and final inspection of detail parts, minor and structural assemblies, plans their execution, documentation, and record retentionPerform inspection duties to ensure all products, processes and services comply with applicable airworthiness, Company, or customer quality requirementsManage nonconforming material control in accordance with company's quality assurance proceduresProvide assistance in quality review of Engineering MastersLiaise with quality engineering, methods engineering, design engineering and supply chain to develop resolutions and implement root cause corrective actions to technical or quality problemsManage the control of monitoring and measuring (inspection and test) devices in accordance with established company's quality assurance proceduresActively participate and contribute as a member of the quality assurance teamMonitoring, measuring and communicating product and process metricsPropose and support improvement projects related to quality assurance proceduresParticipate and support corrective action request as a result of nonconforming trend analysisQualificationsA minimum of 5 years aerospace specific quality inspection and or equivalentA minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an inspection, production, or handling product roleTransport Canada accredited College Diploma in Aeronautics is an assetTransport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's license (AME)
